Liz Myers

It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the death of our new associate attorney and friend, Elizabeth (Liz) Myers. Although Liz joined the Law Offices of Ronald W. Nelson, PA just this past summer, she had become a valued and important part of the firm. Liz worked for the State of Kansas, Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services, Child Support Enforcement division for 8 1/2 years before joining us. Liz passed away in her sleep on the morning of Wednesday, November 28, 2012. She leaves behind her husband, Greg, and her two young children. Her memorial will be held on Monday, December 3, 2012 at 1:00 o’clock pm in St. Joseph, Missouri at the Meierhoffer Funeral Home, 5005 Frederick Boulevard, Saint Joseph, Missouri.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory.  The family suggests memorial gifts to a charity of the donor’s choice.

1975-2012 Elizabeth Michelle Myers, 37, Bonner Springs, KS, died Wednesday,
November 28, 2012, at her home. She was born July 21, 1975, in
Kansas City, MO, to Bill and Nancy Huntsman. Elizabeth married Greg Myers
on May 26, 2001. He survives of the home. Liz was an Associate with
Ronald W. Nelson, PA, which has its offices in Lenexa, KS. She joined the firm
in 2012. She attended Washburn University School of Law and obtained her
Juris Doctor in 2004. She was a member of the Johnson County, KS, Bar Association,
the Kansas Bar Association, the American Bar Association, Phi Delta Phi legal fraternity,
Women Attorneys of Manhattan, the Kansas Women Attorneys Association, and the
Kansas Child Support Enforcement Association. Survivors: husband, Greg, Bonner Springs,
KS; two children, Keaton and Evelyn; parents, Bill Huntsman and Nancy Huntsman; brothers,
Steve Johnson (Kimberly), and Joe Huntsman; and nieces and a nephew.
Memorial Services: 1 p.m. Monday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory, St. Joseph, MO. The family will receive
